LOOKS | Face of the Day - Birthday Dinner

We should all celebrate more often.

Yesterday was my brother's birthday, and we went out for dinner to a fancy Italian restaurant.   What else could an Italian family do right?  And, on top of this, he was going to introduce us to his new girlfriend.  Really, that alone took the event to a whole other level!  All this translates to any beauty blogger as: plenty of excuses to play around with some makeup.

So for this special evening dinner out, I went for a soft gold, almost champagne makeup look.  I've lately gone blonder, and have been obsessed with how well neutrals and shimmery gold pigments go with my new hair.  So, if you want to learn the what, how and why and get the look yourself, just keep reading :)

HOW TO GET THE SOFT GOLD LOOK - STEP BY STEP!

#1  Cleanse and moisturize generously, specially if you have dry skin like me!
#2 Prime your face with  Magic Lumi Primer by L'Oreal Paris for an amazing glow.
#4  Use Naked Palette's Virgin shade and apply to the upper lids.
#5  Apply Naked Palette's Sin shade to your crease - from your inner crease to your outer crease.
#6  Take Naked Palette's Half Baked shade and apply in the same way as #5 and blend both in.
#7  Use Naked Palette's Virgin one more time, to highlight below your brows and the inner corner of your eyes.
#8  Grab the ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen by Revlon, and line your outer lash line.
#9 Apply 2 coats of Manga Mascara by L'Oreal.
#10 Take Benefit Sugarbomb and apply to your cheeks.
#11 Contour your cheek bones and nose, using Hoola by Benefit.
#12 Highlight your upper cheekbones by dabbing in a few drops of Benefit Highbeam.

[ We're almost done! ]

#14  Grab a clean finger and use it to gently apply Naked Palette's Half Baked on top... of your lipgloss!
This last trick will ensure you the perfect match.
