I don't know about you guys, but there are very few things that relax me as much as looking at water. It really soothes me and helps me let go of any negativity.
That is why sailing is one of my favorite weekend activities.
And even though I don't own a boat myself, I am a very lucky girl that gets invited to sail up our River quite frequently :)
So, this weekend I thought it would be a great idea to take some pictures of my day out sailing.
Now, in this pictures I might look a little bit lonely, but I was actually with my family on board!
It was a gorgeous sunny day, yet not too hot.
I'm not sure how much you guys know about Argentina, but The Parana River delta is a huge forested marshland about 20 minutes from the city of Buenos Aires.
It is the world's only river delta that is in contact not with the sea but with another river. And it is also a very popular destination for tourists or even locals like us looking for some R & R.
This place is so close to the noise and crowds of the city and yet it really seems to be a completely different country in every way! And the great thing about this is that sailing through the delta for a couple of hours feels like being on vacation!
In fact, many city dwellers have weekend houses by the river too. And one has this rustic wood docks so you can jump on and off the boat that got you there.
But the best part of a day at the River Delta, is by far, those sunsets!
Such a breathtaking landscape... don't you agree?
< Beware of mosquitoes though! >
About 1 year ago, I vlogged a typical Sailing Sunday... including a traditional and delicious Argentinian barbeque!
Let me take you on tour...
