As promised, here's my 2nd Holiday update :) Day 2 of our weekend get-away, started out with a nice breakfast at a coffee shop. My husband is a huge rugby lover and Pumas fan, so we went there to watch the Pumas vs Springbocks match ! Such a great and fun way to start the day... Or so we thought, until the 60-point defeat :(
Oh well... I can take it with coffee and croissants in my tummy :) Here's the selfie at the coffee shop... Don't let the Canadian beanie confuse you, it's just a present I got from my parent's last trip to Vancouver, and it was freezing that morning.
Note on the crazy brows: I'm currently just letting them be, to see if I can get them to grow stronger:) >
Around midday, we went for a walk in the woods. I always try to walk long distances when I'm surrounded by nature. It's my favorite kind of effortless exercise. I tend to be so distracted by everything around me (birds, trees, etc) that I forget I'm even exercising at all!
And this was the perfect timing for this too, since we could burn the calories from those croissants off. I lenjoy walking and chatting with my family. Have you tried it? And that is something we can always do here. The main reason why I think of Carilo as the perfect spot to relax and detox, is that it has an unusual blend of beach and woods... that you can enjoy all year round.
Right after our family walk, we went on what I'd like to call an adventure! My cousin and wife, took us on a ride on their SUV... by the beach! I absolutely loved this!
We had the most amazing time and were able to enjoy the magnificent view, while still being shielded from the wind and cold weather outside. Because, if you haven't noticed already from my outfit, it's winter right now where we live, in the southern hemisphere!
I was very lucky to be able to take many amazing pictures of this adventure to share this ride with you guys. I feel absolutely blessed to have experienced it! Just look at these Seagulls flying over the sea? Isn't this beautiful?
I always feel so deeply humbled by nature.
Then, we went dune driving! What an exciting experience! It's like being on a roller-coaster, but surrounded by nature and the silence of its noises... you know what I mean...
I'm so proud of this picture! < LOL> I'm sorry, but I just can't believe I caught this scene with my camera, right when this flock of Seagulls was flying over the sand dune.
But my favorite picture of this amazing afternoon, was taken, not by me, but by my hubby < and, according to him, he didn't even put much thought into it > .
It's this breathtaking sunset we saw, between the sand dunes, from the SUV. When I saw this and noticed that EVEN the small full moon was showing at the same time, I just quickly gave him my camera and urged him to take a few shots, since he was better positioned to do so, than me.
After this, we went back to the house... Little Lolita, my 5 1/2 month old furry baby, was waiting for us.
When we got there I realized, maybe, just maybe, it was us missing her ... She was lying on the couch and sunbathing with the last sunbeams of the day, that were coming through the window.
At first she looked like she was posing for me... But when she showed me her little tongue, I knew she was just purposely trying to melt me down! I know I keep saying this but, I can't believe I captured this instant on camera! Lucky me :) Isn't she the cutest?
This was certainly an unforgettable Day 2 ! I truly hope you enjoyed these pictures, because I think I selected the most beautiful and representative ones of this day.
