Hi my Inside-Out Beauties !

As many of you know GFC is history :(
I have spent so much time connecting with other beauty bloggers and readers with GFC... so it is very sad to see it go...  I'm aware this may be old news for most of you, specially beauty bloggers.  But I still get new followers via GFC every day, so I'm guessing some may still not be aware of this.

For this reason, today I finally removed my Google Friend Connect widget, and I sadly thought of each of these +290 followers that I had connected with there.

Clearly, Google is putting all its focus in Google Plus right now and you have the option of following me there too, if you want.   Another way of following my beauty blog is via Bloglovin , as you may have noticed, I included that widget not so long ago.

But, if you ask me, I'd rather have you all follow my beauty blog via e-mail.
You just never know when the next social network will disappear, just like what happened to GFC, right?

Plus, it's the easiest way I can think of to organize upcoming Giveaways !  I can see more clearly who's following and communicate with the winners.  If you're a Bloglovin user like me, you may know that you cannot see all of your followers, at least not right now.

So, without further ado, I invite you all to follow my blog by e-mail from now on, specially if you had followed it via GFC before.  You can do so very easily by clicking here and then entering your e-mail to Feedburner.

Or just using the E-mail Subscription widgets located in the signature below and in the top right corner of my blog.

In any case, after you enter your e-mail address, don't forget to activate your subscription by clicking on the verification link that Feedburner will e-mail you.

And, as an incentive... I will be hosting a Giveaway very soon amongst my e-mail subscribers!

Needless to say, I will not be sharing your e-mails and you will ONLY be receiving blog updates from me.

Thank you all so much for your overwhelming support :)

See you on Twitter !

  1. All done- wouldn't want to miss out on a single post (and excited about the giveaway!)

    Emma :)

  2. People still follow via GFC, because it's still working. Google only retired Google Reader which is completely different. I found this post via GFC, so it's still intact. Some people still prefer to follow via GFC, so you might consider putting it back until it actually does get retired. Just a suggestion. I don't know many who subscribe through e-mails - most use GFC and Bloglovin I believe. :)

  3. Hi Ash! First of all THANK YOU so much for reading and commenting. You have no idea how Happy I am that you were able to get in touch via GFC. As I said, I have connected via GFC with +290 friends, so I wish it was not true. GFC Blog, Google Product Forum, and many many bloggers all say the focus is on G+. So, I'm so glad you're still seeing my posts, but it's only a matter of time until it stops working all together. GFC is also a lot more than the widget. It is about being able to send a Newsletter and other features through a Dashboard that is now gone. Try it yourself Ash, you'll see what I mean. If you're using Bloglovin, please feel free to follow my blog there. I love Bloglovin and use it a lot! But as I say above, I cannot host giveaways on Bloglovin because they're not allowing us to see who's actually following us. At least not for now... So how can you choose a random winner if you don't? I follow a lot of blogs via e-mail... I don't see why not, but I agree that's a personal choice. And since this post and a few tweets, I haven't seen readers and fellow bloggers have any issues with E-mail subscriptions either. The good thing is there's different ways to follow for everyone! The only thing I want is to stay in touch with all of you, because you all mean so much to me!

  4. Hi Emma! Thank you sooo much!!!! You just made my day with this comment Sweetie! I'm trying to get to a good number of e-mail subscriptions before the giveaway. Fingers crossed, it will be soon! Or so I hope. And thank you so much for your support <3

  5. That's understandable. I know what you mean. It's just I've never received a newsletter or sent one, so I've never needed that part of GFC. I use it to read blogs I follow via the Blogger dashboard. For your giveaway, maybe Rafflecopter would be less stressful for you. I know I wouldn't randomly choose from my followers, because I know for a fact that most of them don't even read my blog, which is kind of sad, but it's true. I'd give the option of entering, and then go from there. But yeah, everyone prefers different things :). I do follow on Bloglovin already too :).

  6. Thanks Ash for following via Bloglovin! You're very valuable to my blog and I love how much value your comments have! I'm off to see what's new on your blog lovely! <333

  7. I guess I got into blogging right around the time GFC went out, since I've never used it. It's funny how things come and go, especially online where everything seems to have an incredibly short shelf life!

  8. Hey Amy! It's true! Everything changes too fast too soon right? Or at least it does feel that way. I'm just guessing e-mail is a little more stable? I'm not sure though... :)

  9. Thanks for following me Heidi, I'm enjoying ur blogs x

    1. Oh and my blog is http://tashieswurld.blogspot.co.uk

  10. As a wordpress user I have no way to really utilise GFC anyway, so I am kind of glad it's on the way out *selfish*. I did like how you can see all the little faces of followers though, I think that is nice :)

  11. LOL The funny thing is Kate, that I keep getting new GFC followers, even without the widget! So strange :(
Do you think I should put it back up?

  12. I guess it is a matter of choice. If the widget is down and people still follow you by that I don't see the harm! When I moved to wordpress I transferred all of my blogs to Bloglovin' and haven't looked back. It's such a great way to keep on top of everything and a great way to find new blogs as well!

  13. I agree! I'm absolutely Lovin Bloglovin' too! :)

E-mail subscribing is the most reliable source in today's world and one is always eager to know more and more about regarding application, the above blog can surely help the one to have in-depth knowledge of the same.

  15. Just subscribed to your blog via email. I have definitely been enjoying your channel on Youtube! Please continue to post make-up looks using different and new palettes etc. Its nice to see my fave Youtubers using something and swatching the products so I can then see if I would be interested in buying them. Keep up the great work Heidi! Much love!

Getting your comments keeps me posting! Leave me yours and include a link to your blog! Yes! Why not? I'd love to learn about it :)
