MOTIVATION | The Power of a Smile

Happy Motivation Monday my Inside-Out Beauties!

Today I wanted to talk briefly about the Power of Smiling :) so we can start this week with a positive attitude.
I first noticed the power of a smile one day walking by the beach.  It was really sunny, and the sun was right in front of my eyes.  While regretting the mistake of not having brought my sunglasses with me, I walked with my eyes half-open... I noticed after a few minutes that the people passing me by at the beach starting smiling at me.  The first one, I thought... Do I know this person?   The second one I said to myself:  Wow, people are really relaxed during vacations!  By the third one I realized what was going on ...

... they were NOT SMILING at me... they were SMILING BACK at me!

This strange half-opened eye face I was doing (because of the sunshine) was also causing a big wide smile!  Did that ever happen to you?  Now, these people passing me by were walking in the opposite direction, and hence did not realize my face was actually a reaction to the blinding sun (because the sun was hitting THEM on their backs instead).
BUT, what THEY saw as a smile... was actually making THEM smile too!

I kept walking and saying to myself...  To think that a simple unintentional smile can be THAT contagious!

Try smiling to others this week, you will brighten up their day, and together we can spread happiness quicker than a virus!  < LOL >

And try smiling more... for yourself.  Studies have shown that smiling, even if you don't feel happy and you have to force it, will cause you to trully feel a lot more positive!  Plus, as Anne Roiphe said: "A woman whose smile is open and whose expression is glad has a kind of beauty no matter what she wears".

Wish you many smiles for this week!!!
Keep smiling come rain or come shine.

Love and Blessings to you all :)
