Today is Food Friday! And I wanted to share with you the most delicious food dishes I ate this week.
First, here's a picture of a Special Salad. It had cucumbers, Mozzarella & Cheddar Cheese, Ham and Tomatoes!
As dressing I used olive oil, vinegar, salt & pepper.
Next, comes the sweets!!! I think this is the first time I share a sweet or dessert with you. I guess the reasons are that I don't bake much and that I don't have a sweet tooth, so most of times I could go days or weeks without having something sweet.
Also, to be honest, sweets and carbs make me gain weight real fast, so I try to have them only sporadically, to avoid getting addicted to them :)
That said, I'm human! And of course I have sweet treats from time to time and I enjoy them very much too! This is a typical Argentinian Ricotta Cheese Cake my Mom bought for me and my husband on our last family gathering.
She also bought chocolate brownies and another traditional Argentinian cake made of quince or "dulce de membrillo". We call our quince cake "Pastafrolla". I think this is actually an Italian recipe.
But you probably know that the Argentinian culture, specially in the capital city of Buenos Aires where I live is full of Italian influence due to the large amount of Italian immigration (of families like mine).
Hope you enjoyed this mouth watering food!
