Hi My Inside-Out Beauties!
Hope you're having a lovely Saturday.
I was just thinking about starting to eat healthier next Monday [ I know! Such a cliché, right? ]. But, anyways, that brings me to the reason for today's post!
Eating right and healthy is a key factor in bringing our beauty from the inside-out. I think you will agree that a healthier body is indeed a prettier one! I don't know about you, but my biggest diet "mistakes" happen in between meals, during snack time!I sometimes feel peckish and just feel tempted to eat anything that I can instantly grab on the go... and that generally means junk food :-/ Now this was one of the topics I discussed on my last visit to my nutritionist. I feel that snacking is my weakest point, "what are the healthiest snacks?" I asked. And her answer was so simple, and made me realize just how easy it actually is.
Mother nature has given us the healthiest snacks years before the food industry even existed!
So we basically want to focus on non processed foods that are easily carried with us on the go. And the best example for this are...
Please, beware of the portions you eat! We're talking about healthy snacks not necessarily LOW CALORIE ones! If you're looking to loose weight, carry an apple with you instead :)

I hope this post inspires you to organize and choose next week's snacks a little better.
I know I will definitely try hard to do so!
Now, it's your turn, how do you snack?
Shoot me some other ideas girls!

DeleteHi there, I loved this post, especially being a nutritionist myself - the ethos of my blog is pretty much what you say: looking beautiful from the inside out. I recently did a post on foods to eat for glowing skin, so it's great to come across another blog who believes in the benefits of good nutrition. I have a sweet tooth so little fruit like grapes, cherries, strawberries and dried fruit like raisins and apricots always satisfy my cravings and are easy to carry with you on the go!

DeleteI must admit, I am sooo bad at snacking. I've been trying to be good but it's so hard :( Hoping it will help my skin! XX

I think snacking is an issue for many of us. Our days are all at food speed, so fast foods and fried snacks or sweets seem the simplest way to go. You're not alone. I guess it's a decision we have to make on a daily basis. Together we can do it Anna! Let's snack healthier! I found lots of water and Green tea to be amazing for my skin! <3333 Heidi
DeleteI always love a cup of tea/coffee, but whenever I have one I feel the need for a biscuit or cake to go with! I'm solving this by going for cold drinks or Herbal teas to keep those cravings at bay!
ReplyDeleteBut I will say, if you genuinely feel hungry, always have a snack! Just make sure it's a healthy one! Starving oneself is never a good idea, which is why it's great that you've provided all these healthy options! Thanks, Heidi! x
I agree with you 100% Catherine! If we feel genuinely hungry, we're probably doing something wrong. Nice tips! Thanks for adding value with your comment!
